One Rattle, Two Rattles, One Rant...

Sorry, just have to rant a little and get this off my chest...

1. I've only noticed this new annoyance in the last few weeks, and it's really starting to bug me. It's not there all the time (I'll have to make note of the exact rpm), but it's definitely the mirror. As soon as I hold the mirror, it stops, but I can't pinpoint where exactly it's coming from (slightly loose mirror inside the plastic holder, where the moveable mirror portion connects to the 'stem', etc).

How difficult is it to remove the mirror to try and figure this out and fix it? And put it back on, obviously. lol Are there other mirrors that are a nice replacement for the stock one, like the Mazda3? Anyone know prices, or where to get (other than dealer)? I know the best time is probably when the windshield gets replaced, but that's not happening until next spring *crosses fingers*

2. If anyone knows how to - and can - get rid of a (bang) (argh) rattle-squeak-buzz from just behind the moonroof, without having to remove the whole lining from the roof, a case of your favourite brew is on me! (friday)

It's only there when the shade is open (which is all the time, I like the extra light); as soon as you close that, it's gone. It happens with the moonroof closed, open, or tilted. This is by far the most annoying one...

3. Something in either the dash or A-pillar on the passenger side buzzes/rattles occasionally. Since I don't normally sit on that side (funny how that works :D), I don't know where exactly it's coming from, and it's not exactly easy to crawl into the passenger seat and pinpoint where it's coming from while you're (drive) lol

4. Oh, and I've got something rattling in the driver's door (I think), down at the bottom. I think it's a loose screw, at least that's what it sounds like (the speaker maybe??). Guess I'll have to pull off the door panel and find out...

Thanks for reading my rant, and if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears... literally. lol

Step one: Ball hand into fist.
Step two: Punch fore-mentioned squeaky areas
Step three: Rinse and repeat as needed

That is all...

^^^ LOL That may or may not help me, and could cause more problems... :D

My car is full of rattles (moonroof, dash, console, etc). I just learned to accept it. I did put weatherstripping you can buy for houses between the dash peices and it helped.

^ LOL, yeah I know.

Phil, where exactly did you put the weatherstripping?

Rattles are a b**** to get rid of, unless you can pinpoint them exactly. I've noticed that if I have my front windows down half way that they make a creaking sound. I'm sure there's a solution out there.

I took the guage cluster apart and shoved some in there and I took the center console off and put some underneath. It improved the rattles somewhat.
