The MR-S is really passive, actually... Compared to the first gen MR-2's. =) The 'death frisbee' will show it's true colors the first time you lift the throttle into a corner... 'Hey, wasn't that guy just behind me? And why is he facing toward me?' Hehee. I recently drove the MR-S, and I think they cost too much, for sure, but it WAS a really fun drive. =)

Well, I haven't driven the first gen mr-2 to compare with, but I know if you lift the throttle abruptly on the spyder entering a turn you'll get the same result. Just ask BLU (lol2)

Oh, definitly. =) Any MR gets like that, it seems. As does the Miata, actually, but it's a little less extreme, and it doesn't pivot around it's center like the MR2 does. It's awesome to watch first time autocrossers in MR2's, just 'cause you'll ALWAYS get someone bringing it around backwards or spinning it like a top. =)

Yup. I still remember my reaction the first time it happened to me. After driving sports cars for more than 15 years I felt like I knew a little about what I was doing, wrong!!. All that when out the window the first time I hit terminal oversteer on a turn, yikes. Not to mention the off road "excursion" that ensued that involved cleaning all kinds of debris from my car (I had the top down) and the embarasment of having to get a co-worker to pull me out from the grass. Oh and let's not forget my friends calling the my car "the lawnmower" from that point on. Oh well, live and learn, or is that drive and learn... (lol2)
