I've tried this a few times, and I've gotten a few responses, but no further replies.

I am in need of a stock P5 tire, Dunlop SP Sport 5000M, stock size 195/50/16. I have a huge bubble on mine and need it replaced cause I have inspections this month. If anyone has one with low mileage and reasonable price, please please please reply. I need it shipped to 19126. THANKS!

P.S. If you're within an hour of me, I'll come pick it up!

It would be easier to visit your local tire shop and ask for a used tire. They have to pay disposal fees when they trash them and alot of times they give them away. Give it a try.

well man, i'm riding on my stock wheels.. sorry.. but if it comes down to the wire you can borrow one of mine to get your inspection.. i live in baltimore, so that should be about an hour from you. i realize this doesn't solve your problem, but does buy you some time.

Coqui258 I know a P5 owner here in VA that has three laying around after his accident. I'll try to get hold of him and see if he is welilng to part with the tire.

btw do you have the polished rims or not?

REMillers, no I have the unpolished ones, and if he's willing to part with the tire AND rim, I'll definitely take them off his hands for a reasonable price. Any idea how much mileage he has on them?

What type of inspection is this that examines the tires?

State inspections... required on every vehicle, no matter how old they. They need to be done every year on cars, in which they check your tires, brakes, engine, blah blah blah... then they also do a emissions test to make sure you're not contaminating the air with your car. So since I have a bubble on the side of my tire, they can say it's dangerous and fail me.

WTF, that's stupid as hell, all Ga does is a sniffer test, and a CEL check.

Well that's good 'ol PA for you! And the crap is, the inspections and emissions aren't cheap! The average price for them here in Philly is like $80 for both emissions and inspections! I know it's every year, but damn, when inspections come around that's MONEY!
