On the Fence: MZ5 or CX9???

I've noticed that there are a lot of MS3 + MZ5 owners. We need our own thread.

Didn't realize that. But it just makes so much sense to have two cars from the same manufacturer.

How much did the DVD cost you? Even though Mazda's site lists it as a 1200 retail option for a new purchase, the dealer I went to wanted to charge me about 2k for it. 1000 For the player, 300 for the install kit, 700 for installation, approximately. They lost my sale due to that on a 2010 GT w/Nav.

It cost an additional $970, it's a factory install for mine. I guess dealer installs typically cost more. I bet you can find one with a DVD already installed. However, it might make more sense to buy two iPads and use them in and out of the car.

Thanks. Now that I know they did come from the factory with it I can search for one.

There is a post somewhere in the mazda5 forums talking about the electric doors. Apparently US Mazda5s have the wiring in the doors and the locations for the relays etc, just not the hardware. Or that's what I got out of it.
