So today is one of celebration....I sent in the last payment on the P5....Bought it brand spanking new in 2002....and now finally she's mine....title in hand...What a glorious day...and the angels of the flying Mazda symbol rejoiced...(ughdance)

i was a stingy man and payed outright with cash. I hate owing money. the only time that i will ever take a loan is for a house shortly. good deal though! now u can spend that extra money u spent each month on something else!

Hehe...My favorite day was walking into the dealer with cash to pay for my car. Yes, a large blue bank envelope with cash in it. I was not kidding when I said that I would pay in cash to the salesperson. They looked at me quite oddly when I presented the money....hehe. I loved watching them count every dollar.

at what dealership? I did that at Cape Cod Ford Lincoln Mercury Mazda. They started talking about financing and I was like "no thanks".. I was 17 at the time lolz.

^^ When I went in to pay cash, I had three different people (salesman, used car manager, and the extended warranty lady) try to talk me into financing...WTF! I wasn't given their greedy little hands any of my money for interest anyway. Finally it came down to me walking or them taking the cash.

I bought my first new car when I was 19, I walked into the dealership and they refused to take the car off the showroom floor for me to test drive. I had to drag my mom there to convince them to let me test drive it. The guys jaw nearly hit the floor when I paid cash.
