Yeah, I show the show too.They hardly did anything to that RX-8 and there was so much ******' drama.They should have put a body kit on it or something.The rims were ok but they looked chrome to me,not cool(notcool).The NX kit was stupid all by itself.They should at least put a CAI and exhaust w/ the NX.

Oh yeah, the girl was pretty ******' hot too!!(2thumbs)

That was the funny thing! They said they were going to put on intake and exhaust but they didn't. What a crock of s***! They were saying things like this is going to be the first tuned RX8........ Suuuuuurrrrrrrre Apperently they don't know much about the tuning world. Was it me or when the owner got the car back he didn't look too excited? Hahaha!

Ok,just to let you know...The RX-does make 238hp,yes but this is hp in the engine not all of that power is going to the wheels,that's why they said the intial hp(going to the wheels was 170 and 130lbs of torque.So w/ the NX,it boosted that wheel hp to 209 and 204lbs of torque.So that the engine hp would probably be close to 300 maybe even more,I don't know,but it'll be a lot.

And I agree,that was a stupid ass statement saying that it was going to be one of the first RX-8's to be modified.That RX-8 wasn't even that modded.If they want to see a modded RX-8,they should check out that 850hp turbo ****** 8,now that is a beast!!

flywheel to wheels loss is usually around 15-20%. Example.... a 200hp car will usually get about 165-170 at the wheels.

A good car will get 10-15%. The 3rd gens were rated at what 255hp stock? Most of them (in good working condition) dyno'd in the 220-230 range.

There was some contraversy over the rx8's not pulling anywhere near what was to be expected. I think some of them were only dynoing 170ish eek.

If the car was getting 206 with nos its likely gonna get about 245-250 at the flywheel.

They explained the overrated issue in SCC. It has something to do with all the electronics in it. It seems the ecu samples a lot of stuff from all it's sensors so when it was on the dyno and the front wheels were moving the ecu changed modes or something. It does however have what mazda rated the engine at when it is actually on the road. Just check the 1/4 times and you'll see

if you were gonna do anything seriously dramatic with your car you'd need to get an upgraded ECU or power fc to begin with.

and jay, they have a tuned 350z battle. that should interest you. i hear the sound tuned Z's make is ungodly.
