Btw, the fram filter has less pleats and pleat depth then the mazda filter. A few months ago someone bought one and compared the two.
I'd either go with the mazda filter, or go with the purolater.
Then of course one shouldn't be complaining about 6-8 buck oil filter kits when your car almost cost 30k . Heck I'd probably be running 10w-30 redline in the MPS 6, which costs roughly 7 bucks a quart..
