Oil Pan - Mental Addiction Motorsports

-4 is REALLY small for a return line... but anyways, the thread in the pan is a pipe thread, so you just get an adapter from 3/8 NPT > -4 AN....

easy

I realize I can just put on an adapter, but I also realize I can choose what the hell I want, so... um jesus christ man go away already :)

you cant choose it if its not made that way.... [font=verdana, geneva, lucida,'lucida grande',arial,helvetica,sans-serif]just let it happen baby ;)

it's easier not to put the adapter on, I don't see why I can't request the bloody thing without it. :P

you know its a luminum right? you'll have to find a guy that can weld it (and have it look good) besides, that adapter is really just a fitting, and in the hydraulic world in which I work it is VERY common to have even a couple fittings to make something go together. its really no big deal though, as it would be up to Beau whiether or not he'd spend the time or not to make one special, but as well as I know Beau I would guess he would... he aims to please every customer, even going too far out of his way sometimes (IMO).

I'd say he would probably accomodate you.

Okay, any further insults to my intelligence, please send via PM. Thanks.

what is your deal dude? I have done nothing but try to help you this entire time, if you cant deal with that, the piss off, and get off your high horse.

In this case you can't.
Ryan was only trying to help you.

LOL, I didn't want to threadjack anymore by continuing all this horribly overplayed drama, but I don't feel so bad for you anymore MaM. Ryan apparently thinks I'm a total moron. I dind't understand why he thought it was hard for you to NOT install a fitting that I didn't want. It's less work. Then when he got off my case about it, he thinks I don't even know how I would get a fitting on the oilpan without having to trouble you to do it. I can just TIG weld the damn thing on myself. If not, I can just as easily have Andy Wagner, who built my turbo kit, just weld another fitting on this oil pan, since he had to do it to my stock one anyways. Of Ryan was trying to help, he would have not been on my case.

Oh, and, if I care enough to actually get an oil pan from you, I don't see how the hell you will stop me. Not like you know who the hell I am anyways.

what? you expect me to totally ASSUME that you know all of this s***? you, a perfect stranger? who I've never seen and only conversed with in this thread over the INTERNET? wtf man? grow up

also, as for not installing a fitting being easier, do you even understand how these are made? Beau's employees make them, so he would have to go tell them to not install it, these are made in a jig so they can be made quickly and as cost effectively as possible.

Hmm.... so how about that oil pan? :D

Pricing still looking to be the same, Beau, as you thought earlier?

Thanks!

Steve

I know exactly how things are made, what working in a ******* machine shop. I run a CNC mill half the damn day. Jigs are for the most part for holding pieces in place for welding, drilling a hole for a fitting is a completely different process. Usually needing the help of a seperate template in more tedious jobs. I know it is extremely easy for someone to NOT make a hole for a fitting, the only case this would be a problem is if he had all of them already made, AND was not willing to make anymore. It's not like he has to modify the AutoCAD .DWG for it Ryan, even if there were one.

The only mistake I feel I made was thinking you would realize that I'm not some N00b with 3 posts asking if I have to get a new oil pressure switch with the oil pan. I'm sorry I thought that you would figure, with all the crap on my car, that SOME of it would rub off in the form of mechanical aptitude. THAT'S why I feel you are patronizing me.

It originally was a joke, and I didn't want to post ***** anymore, but MaM felt the need to change that :D
