Oil Pan Gasket Leak - TSB? - all speed and CX7

As I raised the car to change the oil I noticed an oil leak from the silicone filler on the oil pan right above the drain plug.

Called the dealer for app and they tried to blame me for this even before I made the app. because I changed my own oil. ...Long story short they sent me home packing with this statement;

"Mazda is aware of the leak and are working on a TSB, don't worry just check your oil regularly"!!!!

What kind of crap is that? Anyone here have this issue, dealer said it's very common in cold weather conditions, but man how can they just send you home and tell you "that's your problem, bud?"

typical bad mazda customer sevice, or lack of should I say. call and speak to the service manager, tell him you didnt buy a new car to have it leak oil anywhere and demand that it is fixed, and done quickly. Otherwise file a lawsuit and win because they are in the wrong sending you home with a messed up car. You better have the reciepts for any oil changes you did yourself and have that drainplug torqued to spec.

I just changed the oil on my car last weekend and it was dry as a popcorn fart. Hope it stays that way...(fingers crossed).

I'm coming up shortly on my next oil change. I have a 08.5 (build date 02/08) MS3 and my gf also has a 08.5 (build date 02/08) CX-7. I'll post up anything I hear or find. I'll probably check oil in both vehicles tomorrow morning.

The dealership said it was very common with the turbo engines. It's something to do with the machine putting the sealant...it didn't put enough in that corner.

It almost makes you think...what is mazda doing??? The car rattles, has parts that break, drops engines, leaks oil.....
