Ok so i have a 2009 cx 7. I went to a mechanic and was told i have a leak coming from the oil housing. i was given the following part numbers and was wondering how easy of a fix is this.

part numbers, LF0314310A(housing), LF0114342(gasket),LF9V14789(oil cooler bolt)

any help appreciated. thanks

its pretty easy. theres two hoses going to the oil cooler remove those after you drain your oil and coolant then theres a big bolt which is the oil cooler bolt remove that and that should come off with a gasket. i would suggest also getting a new gasket for the oil cooler if its in rough shape. then there are 4 bolts holding the housing. take those off and the housing should pop right off.

thanks. i was wondering if i had to drain anything. so is there a specific place to drain the coolant from? and would you happen to know how many quarts of oil and coolant will drain? i want to make sure i can catch it all. sorry for the newbie questions i just would rather try this myself then to pay the $500 at dealer that was quoted.

there should be a drain bolt on the bottom of the radiator that should drain the coolant out. off top my head i do not know how many quarts they both hold, should have it in the back of the owners manual.
