You can't take the signal off the filter. Go off the oil feed line just above the stock filter location.

How much could you get me one for? I couldn't do one anytime soon but it would be nice to know

these are rough prices as they are very application (filters/oil) dependant

$190 for the kit shipped (base plate, hose, fittings, adapters, instructions)
(special fittings are extra - 90 degree beds ect.)
about $50 for filters and 60-90 bucks for a case (12qts) of oil depending on the kind. Plus oil analysis (optional) This thing really does pay for itself. It is very durable (this is the second car I have had this one system on)

they sound like great prices to me.

What is the oil analysis? Is that something that someone does for me or is it a kit that I can do it myself?

you send a sample of used oil to a lab that runs a bunch on tests (viscosity, solids, nitration, oxidation, and alot of ppm (parts per million) readings ie iron, copper..)

I can get you these kits as well 25 bucks for two tests and when ever i send them its like 2 bucks for postage

i might sound dumb..but do you have a picture of this?

Its a small hole with a crappy stock sender in it with one green wire. take off your oil filter, and look up and left of it. You'll see it. Take that sender out, and screw your new sender into that. I'm turbo, so my oil feed line also comes from there. You can't see the hole itself, but here's a pic of the general area, how I have my T mounted. Since I have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge, I needed to do a remote T fitting so it wouldn't snap off in the block.

Definitely going to agree with you on that one.

jimmysuite get yourself signed up as an AMM or an AV on here, you've definitely got a few of us interested in the setup. I don't "race", but I do drive my car really hard regularly so I'm really not to keen on changing my oil every 25k miles, but if your oil analysis shows it's ok then I'll definitely take your word for it.

Can you explain what the purpose of the dual filter system is?

1. how do I go about getting signed up as an AMM or an AV

2. I think I explain what the purpose of the dual remote filter system is previously in this thread but If its confusing let me know and Ill try to explain better.

I found the post on page 2.. that's pretty awesome. About getting signed up.. I'll see if I can find the thread.

I'm 99% sure you have to pay to be either an AMM (Authorized Merchant Member, typically for limited-run handmade stuff) or an AV (Authorized Vendor, when it gets a lot bigger and turns into a full-scale business).

Here's the info thread: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53836
