Yah, babeeee. I've finally received my 3 - got it yesterday (of course, I didn't post then because i was drivin' it!). :)

So I gotta tell ya, the experience I had in it yesterday was not what I had expected - it was Better!

Aside from the dealer delaying me from picking it up when expected, everything went well. The salesperson was friendly and helpful, the upsell-guy was not too pushy, and they had the insurance dealer waiting for me (who helped save me a couple of hundred bucks).

Those of you on Vancouver Island, I went to Pacific Mazda in Victoria and dealt with Susan - highly recommended! The insurance guy that they had there was from Barton Insurance - again, a great guy, unfortunately his name has slipped my mind.

I spent yesterday afternoon driving everywhere! On the way up-Island I found myself making excuses to look for sideroads with twisties! I figured I was done and let the whip rest while I went to my in-laws for a BBQ, but I found myself looking out the window every 3 minutes to admire. I didn't waste anytime leaving and drove the blessed thing until the wee hours of the morning.

This morning, I told the wife i was going to go looking for a couple of new shirts, but as soon as I left I never stopped once until it was time to go to work! I'm effin' addicted!

I've resisted many urges to tromp on it, 'cuz I know it needs to be broken in some before I get too spirited with my driving, but I slipped up once or twice (especially when that little VW tried to pass! ;)).

All-in-all, I'm still floating. Parked it right out front of my work building, and instead of the guards chasing me away, all I got was "Nice ride, Bart!" with a grin!

Lovin' it,
~Bart~

Congrats Bart....

Congradulations. You have to post pics of the 12 " grin on your face. I know the break in period seems like it is gonna last forever but it won't. Remember, no use of cruise control for any extended periods of time during break in.

Oh, and one other thing. That looking out the window every 3 minutes...it's been 4 months and I still do it.

Post pics of your car soon and congradulations again.

Tim

Congrats...

Stepping on it every now and then should be ok... but I found myself doing it A LOT. Just couldn't wait to floor it, haha.

I still stare at mine... whenever I go on a smoke break I just sit outside about 50 feet away and drool. Or if I'm inside, I glance out the window just to make sure my baby is ok.

I just can't wait to get some money so I can do more stuff to it.

P.S. why are you still here?...go drive

Hehe - I've skipped out of work twice now to go for cruises ;) - Just got back, but the moment I hit the parking lot I was already thinking of my next excuse!

You're giving me inspiration to go find an excuse to take a long lunch today :D

I'm a tad bummed though, just as the weathermen finally swore off rain for a couple days causing me to eagerly wash the 3 yesterday, it rains AGAIN last night :(

Congrats!

I'm finding it's taking an hour and a half to get to work now (instead of the usual 25 minutes) .... (wrc)

Congrats!

Thanks, guys! How do you find it in the rain with the GY tires? I haven't had any of the wet stuff yet, but I've been twisting it pretty hard on dry land and it's just glued to the road! On the "way to work" today there was a construction zone setup and I was last in the group of cars. I let everyone go waaaay ahead, then I did a slalom through the cones! I quit my fun at a safe distance from the workers, and the flagger gave me a big grin and a thumbs-up! Weeeee!

The GYs seem....acceptable.

I'm not entirely pleased by their performance in the rain, but it'll work until all the tread's scrubbed off.

you think the gy's are any good...wait till you get rims wrapped in toyos or falkens...
