Offset/tires Help Please :)

lol those wont fit...i have 17x7 with 40 offset and i had to roll the rear fenders to get those to fit. and thats with a 205 40 tire

well i will be running a 215/35 tire though. And from what i have read up so far they will fit. just I have to roll my fenders. :) OR get the DGM widebody kit??? hahaha

+45 and higher doesnt mean s*** to me Lol, i need to know of the rims i want will fit, and I know +50 on 7.5 will work because the RX8's are +50 and 8" wide, I just dont know if the +40 will work or not, i rather have 18" by 7.5" +40 if it will fit, i might have to roll my fenders.... I wish someone would give me a 100% answer if they will fit or not......

But the other .5" will be towards the shock, so it should rit right? aslong as I roll the fenders, Or can I get spacers???? or am i doing it wrong, I dont understand offset.

the less offset, the closer to the fender..the more offset, the closer to the strut..spacers would make it worse. on our cars rolling the fenders doesn't do much..hell when you get to the top of the wheel well you can only roll in like MAYBE a 1/4 inch... id just get some nice 17x7s dude

17x7 at +38 BARELY rubs... 17x6.5 at +55, I can stick my hand through the gap HAHA. Low offset throws your front alignment out pretty badly. go with the +50's. it'll be worth it in handling.

mp3-79bronco, If i wanted 7" wide i would stick with stock, I want wider rims :P

But i want 18" wheels over 17" wheels :( but how bad would +40 stick out? remember im going to be lowered only a inch. So it would clear the fenders still.

I'm stock height, and 2 passengers OR a speed bump was PLENTY to rub the rear using stock tires and +38 offset. I say again, go for the +50 offset if you're going up to a 7.5 or 8" width.

like i said +40 with a 7 is at the VERY edge of the fender..and im lowered also.

if your gonna go wider than a 7 then you need a lower offset.. like 50 or so

a 7.5 with a 40 offset will be at the same location sticking at the fenders, it just goes in towards the shock more, WHich 40 offset will give u more room between the shock and rim does it not? I need to see some pics of people with 40 offset on the protege's... Pics talk to me hahahha

incorrect. a 7.5" with the same offset as a 7" will stick out 1/4" more on both sides.

I hate rim s*** :,( hahahaha

I want to see a 7.5" wide rim with 40 offset pic on a protege..... It would be a easyer to see thing for me. I know the 50 offset will work, but I want 18"s but i want the rims that have the 40offset.... tirerack says they will fit Lol.

tirerack says they will bolt on. not clear the rear wheel wells. if you roll your fender back as far as possible, they'll fit at +40. otherwise, they will not. simple as that.
