i was told that the wagon was basically a 0% chance of coming the 3door is a possibility based on 5 door sales

Ford wants to bring the C-Max over to try and steal sales from the Mazda5, so I wouldn't be surprised. We may see a 3-door, especially if the SVT/RS trim gets the green light for the US market.
i could see a milder version of the RS...the rs is stupid expensive in US money, it'd be a 30K focus...
As much as i wanna see the Focus RS, it's just not going to happen...
The cmax is almost guarenteed as im aware, as is something else, i forget what...
Wagons just have a bad history in the states...

Not in specifics yet. I keep hearing that the entire Focus lineup isn't laid out yet, so we might no more after Chicago and NY. I'd expect the C-Max and maybe a CC, but not right away.
Remember too, a lot of these are global now, and bringing them over here (or building them here) isn't as tough as it was before. That's going to play out in our favor for some of the previous gen Euro Foci that we didn't see (which I'm hearing will give us the SVT/RS here).

Doubt it. It just needs the RevoKnuckle and right around 300hp, and people will eat it up. If they can build it at the converted MAP plant, it'll come in and compete against the MS3.
Dual clutch tranny but no paddle shifters? (hand)
I know - I shouldn't care so much, but my next vehicle will likely have to be some auto variant and it would be nice to have an accessible dual clutch option other than VW.

That's the kicker. I think they will be able to, but it all depends on what they decide to give us. Just give it a year or so and we'll see what happens.

I was under the impression that a Focus with an ST equivalent trim would be the direct competitor for the MS3.
it is...direct competition to the MS3, STI, and Evo...

I do not see Maxima in the Focus. I see alot of European Ford in the design.
