Can't believe I missed this thread... That said, I'm fairly disappointed that it took until page 3 for my name to be mentioned. I really think what we can take away from this is, the poll results speak for themselves. 03.5 wing really does pwn them all. My adamant position on the topic on these forums is more out of jest than spite. Its more to piss wagonbacker off whenever I mention something than to force my personal opinion down your throat. (lub you wagonbacker)

My personal opinion comes from my experiences with the same fanbois who de-winged their Evo VIII/IX and STi. These are the 400awhp guys who roll around like they are driving God's gift to the sport compact world. I see a car de-winged and I automatically assume arrogance. No idea why, but its just been my experience with the people who've done it to other cars. For me, the car came with it, so I'm gonna love it like I do every other part of the car. It finishes off the back end and flows with the overall look of the car - aggressive, but not obnoxious. To be completely honest, if it weren't for you winglessers 03.5 nose, I'd have a hard time telling you apart from a P5 (from the front or even coming at me on the road). We don't want THAT now do we?

And don't call me completely biased, for I have driven a 3rd Gen Protege without a wing for longer than I have with one...

I looked at my MSP today from about 30ft away and I could imagine that it might look alright wingless, but having holes in the trunk would just be stupid.

edit: and carbon fiber trunks look dumb.

Thanks man. I still miss that car. I always wanted to put a MP3 wing on it (even did a pshop of one on there once) but if anything, I wanted to do a M3-style lip spoiler on the trunk lid (like many wingless guys want to). I ended up selling the car before I got the chance to follow through with that...

Asshats.. It WAS lowered after that picture was taken. I was merely showing that I did consider a MP3 wing on the car when I had it... I eventually put Espelir springs on it FTW!!

Well I have tried to do that so far with the car. Only things I've replaced personally have been things that have broken. That'll change this spring, but I'm still keeping all my stock parts for the future.

It definitely was. I made sure to do before/after shots on when I finally got it lowered. Sorry to threadjack. (upyours)

Keep in mind the springs settled even more than in that second pic (it was taken the day after I installed them), but you can see how they gave an even drop and made the car sit nicely...
