Plus a guy i work with now at VW was a Mazda master tech...and quirky problems let me know and i'll see if he has any advice.

PS: If i do come, I'm bringing my JDM tails, brand new rear sway bar endlinks + bushings (fits a 2nd gen, and non MSP 3rd) and a strut brace I had on my car. if anyone wants, lets talk =)

Ok, we said we start posting what we wanted to do.

I would like to get my engine bay cleaned also. What would I need for this?

For engine bay cleaning bring 3-4 cotton rags and degreaser. I'll bring my Simple Green.

I think all we need is one person to bring the car wash soap, though we'll most likely need a few drying towels. I'll bring my bucket as well.

I have Simple Green and some other stuff. I guess I will bring that too. I have lots of microfiber towels and interior cleaning stuff also such as Meguiar's gold interior spray (or whatever it's called. lol) and Turtle Wax F-22.

And some buckets :D

I am going to bring all my detailing stuff. I have some good interior stuff (Meg's #40 interior cleaner & dressing, Poorboy's Natural Look dressing, Zaino Z10 for leather).

I will bring the sheepskin mitts that I have, and 4 bars of clay. We will probably need to pick up some more Claymagic clay, since 4 of the clay I have will not be enough.

I have an engine cleaning degreaser I can bring.

Heck I'm going to bring everything.. I will itemize later.

I have more quality wax than I know what to do with, so that should have everyone covered (on the wax front).

I think that's it. Everyone bring whatever they have and we can sort out what to use per car.

bought HPs from Ken today! and a Progress rear sway bar too...figured might as well upgrade that while I'm down there fiddling with the endlinks and whatnot! I just hope the stock endlinks are ok.

I'm gonna buy some msp bumpstops for the struts. Do you guys think I should invest in a set of new stock endlinks for the struts too?

You can just cut the bump stops you have, no need to buy new ones. You won't need new endlinks unless we can't get the old ones off. Josh has a technique he can show you for removing them. It requires pb blaster and patience with an impact wrench.

Yea, it's called persistence. Basically you loosen, tighten, loosen, tighten, spray PB, and repeat until it comes off.

cool...I'll have to try that! Do you think I should buy some new endlinks and bolts just in case they're completely rusted? I've only been through 2 New England winters...

I've got front ones that I ended up not needing (thanks to Josh). I'll try to remember to bring them to the meet and if you end up needing them you can buy them off me for the price I paid (~$25/each). However, I don't have extra bolts for them.

cool, thanks Chris.

Here's what I'll do then: I'll buy a pair of rear endlinks and 8 bolts, and that way I'll be covered if anything goes wrong. and if it all goes well, then I can just resell them I guess!

anybody need any parts from onlinemazdaparts? I'm making an order and it's almost $70 already. so all we need is another $30 and the shipping is free! I can bring the parts to the meet...
