Did you do the how-to? If so, can you either msg me it or email it to me?
I'm really interested in doing this swap!

yeah.. i'm still running the restaurant.. i work 70hrs a week now.. so i have a little more spare time, but i'm going back to my old job of 40hrs a week.
so i'll get it done sooner or later.
i hate my computer desk at home... so sitting around and making a PDF with all the pictures is kinda irritating.

Like you... I would also like to do the ATx to MTx conversion... I just wanna know what its gonna run me, and what major parts I'm going to need, and some unexpected less obvious things... I've been speaking with brianMP5T regarding it.

I think I'm gonna start compiling a list of parts.

I don't quite need the photos as I need the parts and part#'s for the conversion.

it's not.. i don't mind not having it, but i'd like to have an odo, i do lots of calculating, and i drive lots of business now, so i gotta be able to charge for it.

i think it's just the ECU thing.
I might try to find a proper ECU for my car (a 5spd, 2.0L without ABS) or just install ABS on my car. I'm bastardizing everything else about my car, may as well do that too, and do a 5bolt conversion... s***, nothing about my car is gonna be stock in the next couple years - sheesh.

the ECU does *not* contain the ABS programming... if your speedometer is not working, then its an electrical issue

i'm gonna borrow Macklum's ECU For a few minutes and drive around the block... see if it'll make a difference.
I've replaced every wire in the effin' harness. It's all identical to an MTx car - so i'm thinking it's the ECU. I'll see about it this spring

you realize on ABS cars there's no speedo sensor right?

yes.. i realize that.. and my car doesn't HAVE ABS, but the ECU is from a car WITH ABS. Hence why the ECU can't figure out my speed.
Guy... you're saying the same thing i am... you seem to have that problem a lot

I have found a couple of transmissions on car-part.com around my area for about $750. Now, my only question is, will that included every part needed to complete the swap, or will it only be the tranny??..

woohoo i start my swap tomorrow!!! i don't htink i'll be done for another week or so... i sucked up a bunch of water into my engine 2 weeks ago so theres alot of other s*** i need to do...

i have holes in my hood, and i'm missing a hose clamp on my intake pipe righ before the turbo intake. it rained really hard 2 weeks ago. we pulled my intercooler off and a bunch of water poured out of it

small gaskets and seals and stuff and a passenger sidemount, rear motormount too

why did you take your engine out? thought you were just swapping tranny

i hydrolocked my engine so i have to swap that too. and the engine would have to come out anyways
