OEM Oil Filters???

I just found these on eBay. Says the OEM is Nippon for our filters... I like the OEM but I don't like the $7.67 that my dealer charges. I know about Mazdaformance.com, but I was just curious if anybody knew if these are actually what they say they are.

well I have only had my P5 for a year and a half...and have never used anything but the OEM oil filters from the dealer...and for starters they have NEVER been gray...always BLACK...and two...NEVER been made by NIPPON....maybe they use different filters from different makers overseas.....

That is kind of what I thought. I was just wondering if maybe the manufacturer re-markets the filters under their own name. It dint't really sound right to me, which is whay I didnt place an bid, but I thought I'd ask...

There are 2 manufaturers for Mazda OEM filters, niether of which is Nippon. One in made by Tennex, and I forgot the other company, but it is definately NOT Nippon.

EDIT: The other company that makes our OEM filters is Toyo Roki. And yes they are all solid black.
