odometer ??

i heard someone rambling at hunts point the other night talking about resetting their digital odometer? wtf was he talking about and how the hell can i reset it if i wanted to? it doesnt seem possible. unless i flash the ECU kinda like ROM from a computer.... lemme know if anyone knows anything. :wtf:

NO yes you can flash your odo.

There are software and stuff that you can buy on e-bay.

There are shops that can do that for you.

It's possible, but illegal.

You can also find the same ECU and just swap them if it has lower milage. Since all the info is on the ECU.

Doesn't your mileage get noted when you get your smog done?? How does it get "officially" counted?

Yes. If you ever run a carfax on any car you will note:

1. Date you have registered the car/mileage
2. Date and mileage when you did smog testing

They also provide with Odometer Rollback check.

It has the date and the mileage next to it.

when i got my smog done it came form the dealer, so my car really only had 2 miles on it. =P

Why was your car smoged when it had 2 miles on it??? Doesn't sound right.
