odd whistling noise...

...i'm new to this site and i couldn't find a thread dealing with this... whenever i drive at highway speeds i can hear a really loud whistling noise coming from the car...does anybody else have this problem?? what could it be??... any help is grately appreciated...

Could be your roof racks. Mine whistle a bit when flyin at freeway speeds.

That is exacty what it sounds like to me. I actually removed my roofracks to see what difference it would make.

Let me tell you. WORLDS of difference without them. They took like 10 minutes to take off and the caps fit nicely to cover the tracks for the racks. All you need is a socket wrench and a Phillips head screwdriver (I think it's a Phillips head). Sorry but I don't remember what size socket.

great...thanks alot guys for all the help...it's really cool to be here... you guys are just as helpful as the guys on my GM forum... i just wish that this car was completely mine... it's actually my mom's car, but i share it with her...hell, i'm the one that convinced her to buy the car... it's a fun little car to drive and it turns heads.. then again, my Grand Am turns heads too, but i think that is because nobody has ever seen a Grand Am hooked up before...hehe...
