hey guys wassup,
my girl just got me a can of octane booster, not because she knows its good for the car, but because it had the brand "NOS" writen on it. what do i do with this thing, is it worth putting in, and does it really restore "lost HP"? whats the deal, let me know im really curious, and if this stuff really is good for the car, is NOS the right brand i should be messing with?

thanks again, ciao: Snook

It will clean your injectors. But over use will kill your spark plugs, and make fuel effiency go down the drain.

what octane would u recomend?
For a stock enigne NA p5? 87 is fine. Its not calibrated to take advantage of a higher octane so putting in high octane gas won't do dick. Now if you mix the gas 70/30 with Toulene then yur in buisness (thumb)

I concur!

your girl is a ricer
So is he.

If you use that s*** it will slowly eat away your fuel lines and injectors. If you wanna clean out your fuel system, then buy fuel system cleaner. If you wanna increase your octane (for boosted or high compression applications) get some real octane booster (eg xylene). This stuff is a total ******* waste of money and anyone stupid enough to buy it should be shot (I actually used to use it, so that's a little extreme)

USELESS!! JUST LIKE SNOOKY!!

what do u mean... if u use 87 and then switch to 93 for a bit u notice it

It may idle a little smoother, but beyond that there's no real difference, and certianly nothing that can be measured on a butt dyno.
