octane booster for my stage2

Well even with my current mods I still get about 2.9 knock retard using the stage 2 sf 91 oct ots map....I fill my car up with 92oct from either 76,shell, and chevron...thats the highest available in my state. Soooooooo What octane booster is actrully worth a s***? opinions please.

Would 2 step colder plugs help. I have the 22's but some guys running more than stock boost are using 20's. Can you buy racing gas in your area? Put a gallon in with each fillup, Would be no more expensive than ineffective Octane booster.

hmmm good point on the 2 step colder plugs...man didnt think I needed 2 step colder..thought 2 step would suffice. As for the racing gas yeah..nothig too close to where im at..and I just ran 5.9 knock in 4th gear..I was like at 4800 rpm...so screw that..going back to stage 1 sf(bang)

Thanks...I read that too..It does seem to be at light throttle but I did pull that 5.9 knock around 4500 rpm..which is midrange...so hard to say...regardless i pretty much s*** myself and and get scared like a little girl when i see knock that high so im just gonna run stage 1 where my highest knock is 0.7 at light throttle till I get my custom tune...could be something..could be nothing..but dont wanna take the chance and say bye bye motor...not cool

Been using torco race fuel additive for years now, first on my
04 cobra and now on my ms3. My ms3 has 0 knock.
I buy the case of 6-32 ounce cans and use 1/2 a bottle every fill up.

There are only a few octane boosters on the market that work. Torco Accelerator and the NOS "race only" booster (black and red bottle). The stuff at the gas station is worthless. Torco works, we use it quite often and it makes a great substitute for race fuel. You can always go get 5 gallons of toluene from the paint store and mix your own octane booster.
