i just installed my OBX Headers this weekend, i turn it on and there is a loud obnoxious vibrating sound. Like the header is vibrating against the chassis? has anyone had the same problem? is there anything i can do it fix it because it really makes the car sound awful. (pissed)

Everything is right correct? Did you check for any signs of rubbing?

ha. it is def rubbing up against the oil pan. hmm.. wear mark already and i barely drove it. what should i do? any suggestions?

ahh that sucks. where the headers attach to the mid-pipe is really close..so even the slightest movement of the engine could cause vibration bewteen the pan and the headers. i beleive that will wear a crack into the oil pan eventually, not good. hmm..

DarkStar motor sports is having a x-mas sale goin gon... I would try to pick up both side mounts from them and get then imstalled ASAP or you could tweak the pipe a little bit to get it away from the pan.

thing is i just dont have the cash for new mounts atm even tho that is a steal..so tell me more about tweaking it?

Can I suggest swapping back to the stock header till you can throw a new MM in there? If you don't have the $$$ to get a MM at the moment, you don't wanna mess anything else up

Eventually, you'll be like me. I can have teh header swapped back out for the stocker by myself in a half hour. lol

And FYI, don't bother putting that bracket on the cat-converter back on. I ran without it

Sorry to thread-hijack, but I recently replaced my front cat, and the new one didn't have a spot for the bracket. The exhaust is still bracketed on at the front pipe - does anyone think that running it with no cat bracket will put any undue stress on the exhaust manifold?

I have been running obx headers for 4 years now and never had that problem your talking about did you try heating up the headers just a little and bendin git just eough away from the pan? Best thing I can tell you is it's probly not your headers because if there on your motor how can they rub really I think you need to add a flex pipe like I did and get rid of that dounut pivit point let me know how you make out.

How close is the midpipe to the front crossmember?

Will your car still pass emitions testing with an OBX Header? I know its off topic but I have to go get it soon and want to know if I need to put the stock one back in.
