i seen the wings west bumper and was like "NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" but you shaved off the "wings" so A+ to you sir. coming along nicely.

My next project is painting the valve cover,and i getting the short intake from Mapa19.
I have the Mp3springs and KYB struts waiting at home,but i have to gather some money to pay the mechanic to put those on :-(.
But i am happy with my car and this Mod thing is a really nice hobby lol.

I shaved the wings cause i think it looked ridiculous on my car,that's just a personal opinion and i don't want to get anybody ofended,just a matter of own taste.
I am planning to cover the side and lower part of the front bumper with Graphite CF wrapp.
 
argie, where did you get the front bumper!? i love that thing! it looks awsome! you've got to help me piece my front end-conversion like...NOW. lol. please!
 
Lol,i got it from a guy from this forum,it's the Wings West MP3 version,but i cut the wings on either side and sand it.
I amplanning to use Graphite 3M wrapp on the lower part of the front bumper,will see how it look.
 
Painted my valve cover and been working on my grille.
Added red lip on my wheels,just a temp. fix until i paint them black with red lip.

I also painted my fuel rail and fuel press. reg.
Sent the injectors to be cleaned.
They replaced some parts,cleaned and they looked like new.
Little by little....
Still working on the grille fitment thou,not a perfect fit but it's going...

Some seriously nice work goin on in here, subbin for sure!! Only thing I dont like so far is the red lip on the grille ... I get what you were going for but it looks cheap and tacky ... take it off IMO

i like the red on the grill. and your valve cover looks great but you really need to do something with the intake manifold. i am thinking a polished look will look awesome
 
A polish look,that would be awesome!.
now it will work the engine enamel too?,cause i have silver engine enamel VHT.
 
I painted the emblem in black chrome and put it back on the grille,received the RS in red and added on the right side of grille,i like at least some detail in red there,couldn't fins sp20 badge so i go with the RS and i am really happy with it.

Installed the short air intake,bought it from Mapa19,(great seller).
The car is hesitating at iddle,so i disconnected the batt,unplugged the MAF and temp. sensor,let it sit for an hour and reconnected all the wires.
Now is driving better and the sound is awesome ;-)

The RS he probably has there is in reference to the JDM RS Wagon and RS Sport Wagon like mine is that came with the 1.5l SVT engine. It is like the little brother 2 the Sport 20.

Yep.I also like how the red looks on the grille.

I drove to work today and the car still hesitating badly when i go trough 25000 RPMs.
The minute i put the A/C on if i take a curve without stepping on the gas pedal engine stalls.
Not really happy about this,i may consider going back to stock intake :-(
 
Check your TPS if it needs cleaning, There is a IAC switch also below the TPS that you may need to remove the Throttle body to get to and clean as well. CAI or SRI should not make that much of a difference. I have an SRI in mine, was getting some issue with the RPM dropping when the A/C was on, almost like the car would shut off. When you remove that IAC switch clean it with CRC Contact Cleaner or equivalent. You can give it just a little WD40 after (just a smidgen but I was still skeptical about that). Now I didn't have to take down my TB to get to mine but it may be that your IAC may need some more serious attention. Well I guess you know not to remove your TPS because then it would need recalibrating. I did this with my RSS Wagon with the 1.5l, ZL-VE. You could also get a diagnostic done to see if the knock sensor, or oxygen sensors are acting up as well as check the ignition coil packs. I had that issue with my other 1.6 GLX with the ZM engine. Just a suggestion.

I also want to suggest you have that Filter relocated to over the fender well so that it get's more cool air. As it is it looks like it is sucking in hot air from your fans.

I will take the filter closer to the fender,thanks for that suggestion.
I am going to try to clean my MAF(which is reman. to new) and the TPS.
Now,pardon my ignorance but what is IAC? lol

thanks blkspdfreak,i want it to do something with it yesterday,cause it looks like crap!.
I may re-paint the valve cover red with the letters in silver and do the same thing ith the headder shield.
Suggestions always welcome.
