here's the situation. my husband got a body kit for our 2002 protege5. the thing is that the kit is a wings west kit for a protege. the rear bumper won't fit, but the front does. the only problem with the front is that it sags. when i looked at it after getting it back from the body shop, i noticed that the wheel well isn't covered like it was. think that the body shop switched out the fender liner. my husband says that it probably didn't fit right because of the size of the bumper. the thing is that from what i see on the parts list, the fender liner is both the same on a protege and a protege5. i could be wrong on that. well right now we have the underside of the car having two things draging and not even reaching the bumper where i think it should be attached to the front bumper if it was the original fender liners. then when i looked at the underbody, there is now a cover on the underside. i don't remember that being there before. is there one in the original? all i rememered for covers was the fender liner and the air dam on the front bumber. just not sure if the body shop went and used another car's parts or does the car need a support beam to hold up the front bumper right. any help would be great. thanks.

The underside does have a cover that screws into the bottom of the bumper.

Please take pics though as it seems that you are having fitment issues all around.

just moved and i haven't found my cameras yet. been talking with the manager of the shop and he's going to have us bring it in and he'll look over everything to make sure that it's alright. looks like the fender liner is gone and the guy at the body shop placed another car's under cover because when i got the breaks done there was not a cover that went from the engine area all the way back to the back tires. he half assed it to get paid sooner. the guy that worked on it called in to the manager and took a sick day today. we just got it back the other day. the manager isn't happy about it and is going to correct everything this week. it just sucks living out in smaller cities. no one here wants to do the work even if i'm paying them twice as much as i would have to pay for in los angeles to do it all. thanks guys for listenin' to my cry for help and stuff. i'll be good though. if not, i'm sure a nice laywer will take my case. lol.
