NOISES FROM MY MP3

I have 2800 miles on my car and I just put an AEM short ram system on it. I have just begun to hear a slight noise from the floor board ( around where the clutch is ). The noise only happens when I engage the clutch. It seems like a knocking noise. Anybody else experience this problem ? Also, every time I hit a decent bump, my shocks are making a loud noise, like they are bad or something. Please let me know if anyone else is experiencing any noise problems. Thanks.

My shocks make the same noise, i think almost everyones do. im taking mine in tommorrow. other people said its the bushings? havent heard anything bout the clutch yet.
Good luck

I am hearing a loud squeek fromthe rear is this the sohnd your talking about. I thought it might be the trunk lid ars doing. I had the dealership check the shocks and they looked fine

kfly, I also have the aem ram and I noticed some type of noisy in the same location. It ended up being that the intake was hitting something that is near it on top(don't exactly what it is) but I twisted the intake a bit and the noisy is gone. also some of the srews where kind of loose so i thigthen them.

Thanks Danny. I am going crazy here with this noise thing. I will try to adjust the aem intake and see if it fixes the problem. I am taking the car in tomorrow for the noises in the back. Thanks again.

Hey, me too...

When I go over a bump my rear makes a horrible loud squeaking sound! I went to the dealer today he said something about bushings. I'm taking her in friday 9.30am to have it checked out.

I'll let you know.

The loud 'squeaking' noises are from the suspension. Dunno what part, prolly the bushings, but I think it is fairly normal. Mine only does it in cold weather, when I first drive the car in the morning. I say it is normal cause my friends Type R does the same thing, and both the MP3 and the Type R have performance suspension.

I asked racing beat about the Squeak:
This may be related to the sway bar bushing. We did not supply the bushings to Mazda so I can't comment on the type used. We use a "grooved" bushing that is designed to hold a special bushing grease that we supply with our bars. Even so sometimes the bushings will still squeak. You might try to Rough up the surface of the bar under the bushing with a piece of 300 grit wet/dry sandpaper in order to break-up the slick surface.

BUT, first contact the dealer for their suggestion, I don't want to hear that my suggestion "voided" the warranty in some way!

Okay ladies and germs, I brought my car in today and the dealer said it was the bushing that was dry, and when it's cold it makes that high pitched squeaky sound.

He ordered new better ones that will solve the squeaking.

So, nothing to worry aboot.

hey all
i got my bushings replaced the second week i had my car...it got rid of the noise for about 2 weeks after them being replaced but now it is back though not as bad, in fact much milder than before, it still squeaks on cold mornings and such it is something will must learn to live as well as the unfortunate z919 :( .....any news on the petition?
