Noise after CX-5 is turned off..?

... why did this car need this [$2000 headlights ] is a question i have-its a daily driver not a sports car-good grief.

I would guess ...

Achieving IIHS 5-star rating (gotta have fancy automatic high beams and such)

customer satisfaction

Most buyers are not thinking about replacement cost of headlamps they just want awesome headlights

You are correct. The IIHS gives some 2025 CX-5 trim levels an "acceptable" headlight rating, while higher trim levels with curve-adaptive headlights get a "good" rating. Scroll down to the headlight section for details…

And they run even if you don't use the headlights?

Back to this thread - I have figured there are 2 different noises going on after shutting car off...

1- Headlight cooling fans run for a short time 20 seconds

2- Fuel rail-sounds like the pump...i hear a slight gurgling going on and that lasts for about twice as long so maybe 40 seconds or so-thanks to all for input on it
