lately i've been having this wierd problem with the MSP.

a bit of power at around 3500 rpm, but then at 5500 it's like it's a VTEC or something cos it kicks really hard and takes off!

what the heck is going on?

totally bone stock, 75000 kms. never had any other probs.

any ideas?

h22 is a prelude motor :P

I can vouche for skany cause i drove his msp and its a lill weird. No idea what the problem is though :(

btw skany you need a boost guage.

Its OUR intake manifold, and the VICS. The VICS closes at 5500rmps, and thats is why you are feeling a sudden kick. When it closes the runners are shorter and you feel a little more power.

Mine was like that.
It is hesitation.
The midpipe fixed it so far.

my car does the same thing around 5,500 i drop from 9psi to 7 and it feels like vtec. i have a 3in down pipe and full 3in exh wit a injen cai

i've been reading up on this too, seems like my unichip along with the ik22's i ordered that are in the mail will fix my hesitation problem.

my car would do this after 15mins of track time. I believe it was caused by a boost leak/heat/ignition problem.

That is strange, most stock MSP's begin to lose power after 5500 RPM.
bwahahahahha...(peep)

.....no one else found it funny??

what up Adam!!!

you on here too! represent the GTA...

guys,
it's funny cos it only happens occasially and usually at partial throttle and never WOT.

would EMS sort that out or are we talking midpipe???

I guess it would have noting to do with the fact the our VICS closes around 5500 rpms.
