Mazda CX-5 Touring
Hi,

I have a 2013 Touring CX-5. I previously had an iPhone 4S paired to the car via Bluetooth with all the contacts loaded. When I would receive a call, it might take an extra few seconds but I would see the name associated with that phone number in my contacts. I have since upgraded to the iPhone 6S, removed the old phone, paired the new phone, and uploaded all the contacts. But now, when I receive a call I only see the phone number not the name associated with that contact.

Is anyone else experiencing this and does anyone have a solution? I tried deleting the phone from the system, forgetting the Bluetooth entry on the phone and then re-pairing everything but it didn't seem to help. Could it be a problem with iOS 9.3.1?

I have the same problem with my 2015 CX-5. At first I thought it was an iPhone-related issue, but then I realised that was not the case. We started having the problem with other Android phones as well. We updated iPhones and iOS to no avail. Then I noticed that the problem seems to happen only with T-mobile and Mazda radios. A similar Verizon iPhone worked just fine, as well as other cellphone carriers. It's a strange problem! The thing is that the same T-mobile iPhone works fine with Toyota or Chevrolet Bluetooth radios.

I call Mazda numerous times as well as Apple and T-mobile, they all try to help but seems like none of them have a clue of what's going on, and end up playing the finger-pointing game. Nobody wants to take blame or responsibility for the problem. I still insist the problem is with the Mazda Bluetooth radio and the way it handles the call id, only for incoming calls.

My phone carrier is AT&T, not T-Mobile, so it's not just a T-Mobile problem.

So many weird things happening with this Infotainment/Navi system and so many missing functionalities, it's a mistery to me why Mazda continues to provide such a lousy system instead of supporting Carplay and Android Auto.
I can't sync my Gmail account on my Galaxy with the Infotainment system. I can sync my aol mail account (private) but not Gmail (business). Go figure!
