i was just about to order my obx headers off of ebay then i noticed they weren't there. i have waited about 3 days for a repost because he always has them on there and they still arnt there. don't know why if they arnt posted in by friday then i will have to buy them from protegegarage.com. so i was wondering if anyone had any info or knew if this guy is going to repost them. i would like to buy from him before garage.com because his are cheaper and there's not that long of a wait. i'm not putting down garage.com i just don't want to wait 3wks for it to ship. so Ken if you read this is the wait still that long at your site? thanks.

yeah its normal to wait for a group buy, thats because you have to wait for everyone to pay.
The vender does not get the good deal unless they buy in bulk, in this case with OBX its 10 units. Another thing is that OBX ships COD, and they reqire money orders or cashire check. OBX almost always ships late and never give a total amount to have the check for so you can have it ready ahead of time. Some of you may be thinking "why not keep a stock of them". The initial cost is just to great, to try and remain competitive he keeps his prices as low as possible, and lower prices = almost no profit.
Now look at the feed back for the guy that holds that auction. These 3 were all in a row

actually someone else started to post headers i guess. i just checked it the other day and now theres another set from someone else for $180 + shipping. Here's the link. feed back is not as high as i would want it to be. but considering.

Yeah, you could wait around for an ebay auction, or you could support one of the most valued and respected AV's around and buy from protegegarage.com for $20 bucks more. Your call though. (jerkit)
I would agree, protegegarage would be one of the ways to go. Support a forum member. Or go go ebay and get it through this guy, who has less than stellar feedback and with fees, is close to Ken's price shipped.

Shipping takes 2 weeks usually, 3 is the worst case scenario. Reason being, I sell alot of these, I mean A TON and keeping the orders filled is often hard. Demand usually outstrips supply on these headers and I usually am on the phone with Peter@OBX once a day to keep orders coming. I put that message about shipping time to be upfront and honest with my customers so that they did not feel jacked around when the header did not come right away.
My prices may be higher than other places, bigger outfits like JEGS and NOPI, but with me you get the knowledge that you are buying from someone who owns the car, knows the car, modifies the car and will be there for you in a jam.

haha wow. yea i too considered all that and thought about that recently. and to say the least i just ordered some headers from your site. and i did play in the factor of contacting information which leaned me towards you and you're products. all i heard is good things about you and your site so that is why i made my purchase from your site. and i am not worried about spending a few extra bucks to get the product from a good guy and a good company rather than a cheap-scape on the net running scandals. and i really do appreciate you being upfront about the waiting period for the headers. but i had no idea that you sold that many a week.
and jason sorry that i didn't catch that hooters invite in time. ha damn wish i went. i have been just sitting here tonight after getting back from getting fireworks for the 4th of july.
