it smells a bit better, but ive only driven for like 10 miles on it, so im wonderin how long it needs to learn
 
so you said this is for running with no cat at all. What if Im planning on running hi-flow... same thing?

yes this will work for both setups if you throw a CEL, which you prolly will, but unless you care about the environment, puttin in a high flow cat is kinda pointless unless youre tryin to dampen the sound. reason being, its just as illegal for you to remove one cat as it is to remove two cats. so if youre getting rid of one you might as well just remove both.

Are you sure that it's illegal to take out one of the 2 cats? I mean if i go to inspections..and for some reason they look under the car & only see one cat..they will fail me and ticket me?

I am not sure about that...maybe differs from state to state...

they WILL fail you with just one cat since its illegal to remove ANY emmissions related devices at all...i dont know where people got this 50k mile s*** i heard, that is not true. there are certain time frames where your car will be exempt, but youre no where near the 25 year mark or whatever. they will not ticket you because they dont have the authority, they just wont pass you.
 
Well..if that happens..i will just remount the stock exhaust header..

eevry 2 yeras is doable, if you have constant access to the parts and place to do the work even once a yr is worth it considering if you want power you are going to have to get that first cat the fock out of there and prob go hi flo with the 2nd(i dont plan on removing both but that is an option also.

Kinda funny when you think about it though, in essence it is kinda illegal then to buy/use a 4-2-1 header cause most new cars will have a precat and so forth. not saying buy really but techinically if you didnt want it to be illegal you couldnt get a header. hehe.
 
if everything is working good for 2 consecutive drive cycles since the installation, then the MIL should not illuminate

this is an intermittent test, and the MIL can come back anytime, but you should not worry if everything works correctly

ive driven about 50 miles since installing and no problems...i need to get a 0-60 video to compare differences, cause i swear im a little faster after the fix
 
I have a feeling it won't gain you any HP, but hey, I hope I'm wrong. How much was the thing?
 
it was 21 bucks shipped to my door. no cel, its been about 150 miles or so, and seems to be getting better gas milage. i swear its either running smoother or gained a few ponies too.
