No Low Beams

I have a possible electrical issue w/ my 06 Mazda 3 S. We left for home last night and suddenly no low beam headlights...no flash or anything wierd. Highs's were fine and so were the fog lights. It's got <50K on it so the wife took it to the stealership. They covered the bulbs but their excuse was "oh, you lost one bulb and didn't notice it, then the other one went out." BS! My wife drives this thing every day in the dark and would notice a light out. Hell, when she drove to work yesterday morning it was dark and she had to use her lights...everything was fine.

My concern is that there's a short of some sort that caused both bulbs to blow @ the same time. Has anyone heard of anything like this with these cars? I searched the TSB lists I'm aware of but to no avail

check the fuses first and if they are good then try bulbs it is not unusual to have them both go out at the same time I see it at work alot....
