hey guys first post on the site, hope im in the right spot. the other day I was driving my moms 2002 mazda protg (with the 2.0l) on the highway (about 100km/60mph) and I noticed a little thud (just so happen to be the 2 serpentine belts). when they flew off I happened to look down at the cluster and noticed the car was hot as all hell, the gauge was just barried to the H. so I pulled over, and coolant was spewing out of the old girl. got a tow home and poped the hood to find out it was the water pump, no big deal.
I did the water pump, and got the timing all right, put the car back together. went to start the car, and she keeps turning over and over. took the plugs out, and there is spark, but they are all dry, meaning im not getting any fuel I would imagine. when pulling apart the car, I only unplugged 2 sensors, not sure what they are, and plugged em back in already, so I don't think I left anything unplugged.
I was thinking because the car got so hot, it had some sort of fuel disconnect, so I researched to see if there was one, and in all the write ups, all the guys say there is no fuel disconnect. so im stumped as to why the car is getting no fuel, and hopefully one of you guys can point me in the right direction.
