Just to let you know, it does not say anywhere in this thread that the turbo needs a rebuild, nor does it say the model number of the turbo. That is why so many people are asking you. It looks like a nice turbo to me, and I might consider buying a rebuild kit but I would not be able to offer your asking price. If you decide to take offers, let me know.

I was one of those people who asked what kind of turbo it was, and in what condition. You have yet to respond to me, so I took my $350 and went elsewhere.

"Selling Car Parts Online For Dummies" should be your next book, and using the language you use is also a turn off for a potential buyer. If you sell it on here it will be a miracle for sure now.

Buyer beware.

Yeah. Was thinking about putting an offer in for the FMIC but after hearing his responses, I decided to wait.

yup... buyer beware.... thats why i have 100 percent feedback on my ebay and other mazda forums.... im such a scammer... lol language dosent mean a thing... never have i said "wow that guy said the f word online... mabey ill look for this some where else" mabey ill polish up the oxfords and straighten my tie to check my pms for now on..
you have no idea how many people ive had to go back and fourth with for days who give the famous "ill send payment tonight" then never send... first thing i told everyone that pmed me is that it DOES need a rebuild... the shaft plays not horrible but i wouldnt want it on my car as is.. the tag on the turbo is oxidized and not even readable.. ill try to get a good pic of the tag for you guys or try to clean it with a wire brush.. if anyone has better suggestions for cleaning it with out ruining the tag let me know !

??????? Well you officially missed the point

If I am selling a car part, and I have 20 different people ask me the same question, I finally change my "for sale" ad to reflect the question being asked.

The point is, people asked you if the turbo was good, which you did not disclose in the original thread, nor did you disclose what size turbo it was. At face value......this looks like you are avoiding the condition of the turbo from the beginning simply because all people on here that are selling turbos will comment as to the condition of the turbo, and you have still not changed your original post to reflect that. To a reasonable person, this seems shady, and your defensiveness definitely didn't help either.

And please don't use Ebay buyer feedback to defend yourself, no one really cares. I, as well as anyone using a car forum, use the f*** word frequently........I use it many times a day here in Afghanistan. That wasn't the issue, it was the tone of your post(being the seller) not the verbage.

I say "buyer beware" for the reasons listed above, do whatever you want man, I couldn't give a damn. So polish your oxfords, straighten your tie and be on your way...........as far as I am concerned you can sell your "turbo kit" somewhere else.

IT IS A 350.00 TURBO KIT, WTF do people expect? 10 grand worth of brand new parts? Language police action is lame s*** just like grammar and spelling police is. Quit being such ******* babies! Grow a pr and get some thicker skin people. GLWS................

We don't expect ebay prices, just that the details are provided.

So does the turbo need to be rebuilt? Or should I PM him to find that out?

Yes it needs rebuilt and to save the OP some more headache, he told me it's a Garrett 50 trim 'Airresearch', not to be confused with the stock turbo. Though with that information you should be able to google it and compare the two turbos.

Personally I am still considering buying the turbo separately if the OP agrees, since it looks to have a nice coating on it and rebuild kits are not too expensive. If you are looking for a turbo ready to be bolted on, this is not it. If you have some time before it needs to be swapped (like me) it is worth considering.

yea ill sell you just the turbo and you hit the nail on the head ! needs a rebuild since it had some shaft play but its not in bad condition.. fins never touched the housing or any of that.. just a simple rebuild pm me and we will talk... im proably going to ups to ship the blow off valve today so if you think you will send a payment at some point today let me know and ill pick up a box when i go to the ups store

everyone quit your bitching. if you dont like the price then go buy something else. Its not going to be in the same condition as a brand new gt3071r from garrett. and it's sure no where near the same price.

its a journal bearing turbo so needing a rebuild is not as bad as a BB turbo like the stock msp one. all a rebuild consists of is new seals and gaskets. you can get a top of the line rebuild kit for no more than 100 shipped.

great price on everything OP. I can tell you have priced everything accordingly to its shape and condition.
