Nick's Summer Transformation Journal

Update

Well, my MBC, oil return gasket and WRX Injectors came, along with my intercooler kit. I don't have pics of the intercooler kit, but here's the rest of the stuff. I didn't like the way the fuel setup looked, so I re-did it all in braided stainless, and moved my pressure sender. Still waitingo n the ceramic coating place so that I can get this kit in by the weekend. Oh, and I realized that I need a SSQV flange by Friday too, nice hey? Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Another update. Installed the Beavis Block tonight, and also began dry-fitting the FMIC stuff together so I can get it mounted. The WW bumper doesn't need any trimming. Only the factory setup. ALso added the wire looms to the nology wires, to get rid of the ghetto ass zip ties. Well, I get the turbo back on Tuesday, so Funky Buddha is gonna document the install and post up pics and video. Also, Speck clutch and flywheel came in from Dumb Keola.

Awesome... can't wait to see more. It is looking great so far. I too am going to be boosting my 5 soon, so I'll be paying close attention.

Called today, and even though they promised me for last friday, they told me "we're still waiting on the one snail, hopefully we can get them to you by the weekend." And I s***. HOPEFULLY by the weekend? I came un-glued and said I need them by friday at the latest, no ifs ands or buts....

Looking good man. If i were you i'd put my boost gauge, and my wideband in the dash pod, cuz i wish those were the ones i had right in front of my eyes at all times...

I'm gonna keep the EGT where it is, because it too is a good indication of a/f ratio, while I'll still have my wideband as a primary source, it's only a glance away.

Thats cool, you might find that you'll look at the wideband more. It IS the indication of what your AF is ;)

Alright, I'll be honest. I don't wanna be destracted by a blinky-light gauge and s*** in my main field of view. I drive alot at night.

Awesome Nick.. you will love it so much I am sure!! Guess what I am buying soon.... forged goodies!! (glare) O and how much boost will you be running for now?

So I was happy that my ceramic coating stuff was done, but the shop warped my manifold while baking it. So, since i can't get a new mani, I'm having it machined flush so so far the install is still a go for this weekend.

I'd be pissed as hell if they warped my manifold. Are they paying to get it machined for you?
