I'm driving down as street in a town in Middlesex County, at about 1045pm on 11/19/2002 and I notice that one of my head lights are out. I pull into a parking lot to see what was going on. So I get out and pop the hood of my car, check out the bulb. I look up and I see a police officer pulling in and he looks at me asks how I'm doing and I reply fine. Then he drives in font of my car too see what the fuss was about. I didn't mind because of the fact that I'm glad to see that he is doing his job patrolling the area. So I finally get the bulb working and I close the hood of my car and he asks me where I'm from, so I respond and then he gives me a really nasty look and tells me to take my car back to that town before he gives me a ticket for it!!!

WOW, what a way to welcome a guest in your town. Makes you wonder sometimes whether they train these people in public relations or just to be complete assholes! (nuts)

Wow, sounds like he has a few issues with your home town. I'd be following that cop every chance I got from here on out. Just to piss him off.

The thing is its not in my town, Its in my girlfriend's town! The cops in my town love my car and talk to me when i'm stopped @ a light just to say whats up......

what an idiot....is there anything illegal on your car, cause it sure doesn't look like it. What was he gonna give you a ticket for?

All i have is tint and maybe my light that is out, but thats about it. Plus i have a clean driving record so they couldnt say that i was speeding. The front tint are coming off TONIGHT! This is the 3rd time i'm getting harassed by "A PROTECTOR OF THE LAW" and i'm tired of it! Protector of the law my a$$! They should be called(just the jerks) PROTECTOR OF THEIR OWN A$$ OR THE FILLER OF QUOTAS!!!

COP=Man who, cant get laid, has tiny dick, and loves to feel powerful. you should have told him to eat your ass!

not all cops are as big a **** up as this guy was... granted... alot of em do have inferiority complexes... and maybe even so much so that its reversed and they actually think they are the s***... but still know they suck... and they get into the job to feel big... but there are ALOT of cops that are actually good people... there are atleast 3 or so on this board that i can think of... plus the one that gave me a speeding ticket a couple days ago... i was in a hurry on my way home from work to take care of something. was goin about 60 down a street that was 35... he hit his lights, had me pull over and came up to the window. i already had my license out because i know they like when you have stuff ready for them, and i was looking for my reg/ins stuff in the glovebox.. asked him to give me just a sec while i pull it out... he said "don't worry about it, whos the car registered to?" i said he, he said cool... came back, said he had me on radar about about 62, but he was just gonna put 40 in a 35, and i could still hit traffic school if i wanted.... all in all he was a really nice guy... actually made a little bit of idle conversation... usually when you try to be nice to them and maybe strike up some small talk they are complete dicks.... but anyway.. alot of cops suck, alot dont... thats just the way it is

Depending on where you are, don't be too hasty to go digging through your glove box for your information.

Generally, best thing to do is to turn on the dome light (if it's night out), roll down the window, and sit with your hands on or through the steeing wheel and wait for him to come up to you. You don't want to make him thing you are digging for a gun. Do what he says, move slowly, be courteous.

It's hard to lump all police into a single generalized statement. Generally, younger police are more likely to be on power trips and such.. But there are good cops.

Same type of thing happened to me only the cop told me to go the f*&% home because the city closes at 11.... Can you believe that!!! Ya, sure the city closes at 11.... I blew my top and started yelling at the cop. My friend told me to calm down and just drive, so I did. The only thing is is the ****** decided to follow me. This really got my blood boiling. I decided that if the SOB wanted to follow me, well he was going to do so very slowly. I took my foot off the gas and just let the car roll forward. I was going about 3km/h for about 2Km before he finally got fed up and pulled me over. He then gave my friend a 130 dollar ticket for flicking his smoke out the window.
Good thing my friends dad also knew the police cheif :D :D Ahhhh gotta love revenge:p
