European 2009 mazda6 will get this motor. Will likely share with next mazda3. (read from Feb Car&Driver)
Probably 2009 but might be 2010 when the next 3 hits the states. S version will have a 2.5L disi motor with 168 hp. Also will have better fuel economy than current 2.3L.
Next 6 will also be lighter compared to similarly equipped current car by 70 lbs. Mazda rumored to do the same for the next 3.
