oh btw, adventon.com and rpmmotoring.com both sell the safc II for around $320. so it's pretty much the same price as the gen I safc.

on a side note, apexi or kenetix can i do a sig for you?
ghostP5 said:How is this different thn the first one? The reason the first S-AFC didnt work with our cars is that when we go WOT about 4500rpm, the computer shuts out all sensors and goes with pre-programed fuel maps. Unless this 2nd generation piggyback has the fix for that, it is still useless.
Remember that they dont run OBD2 ecu's in Japan.
that's kinda what i thought but wasn't sure. it does ignore the o2 sensor and possibly a few others, however.N1XRR said:NEWS FLASH: The ECU does NOT ignore the MAF!!!
That is how the computer knows how much fuel to put in the engine, open or closed look...how else would it know how much fuel to add? RPM's? I think not.
All the S-AFC does(basically) is tells the computer to that there is more of less air than what is actually there, resulting in more or less fuel being injected.
Even for us NA guys this looks really cool
