New Pics of my mint 1974 RX4 Coupe finally cleaned up

Take a look at page three of this thread for the new pictures.

Hello All,

For those who missed my previous post.
1974 RX4 Coupe
I am second owner
33253 original miles
All original paint and trim as new - never any repaints
All original interior - including the carpet
All Stock

For those who had seen it I did not have many interior shots. Here are some newer picture I took this past weekend. She had not been washed on the out side yet so the top panels are a little dusty.

regards

Max

you seem to have quite the collection of classics :D

Car looks like it's in mint condition...

wow VERY impressive man. Good to see someone take such good care of the old skool rides.

You take it out on nice days and drive it as it was meant to be?

Hello

Thanks for the comment. I like old cars better than new ones (I just added my latest to the list - the STAG) . I also like my cars stock, its the only way to go back in time and try something as it was with the limitations of the day.

Hello,

Thanks for the comment. I really need credit and thank the little old lady I bought it from last summer for taking such good care if it for the past 33 years. I will certianly do the same.

I will only be driving her on nice sunny days, but she needs to get out and see the world - and be seen.

I will try and make the MOM in Toronto this summer, I think its August 11th.

Regards

That car is just unbelievably gorgeous. You are very lucky to have found it.
I'd have to bet there isn't another one in that kind of condition anywhere.

How's it run?

That's amazing.. how does it run?

Hello,

Thanks to all of you.

It runs very well. It was plated every year and passed every mechanical inspection each year being well maintained each year. Although low miles it was used regularly on nice days.

I sold my 74 RX4 Wagon 4 yrs ago ..regret it now

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,

I know what you mean. I had a 1990 RX7 Turbo II Candy Apple Red with black leather int that I sold in 1996 with only 23K KMs on her. She was like new but I needed the money to open my business and had no choice. I am still sad about it today and will never feel better about it. Plus there was just one on eBay last month just like mine but with only 12K original miles which I will also regret not buying but I have too many cars right now and need to sell some first. I have longed for another Rotary ever since. I will from today on always own at least one rotary vehicle. Nothing like it else where.

Awesome pics Max...Never thought I would use this expression but your RX4 is "cherry"...Looks great! :D

How reliable are old-school rotary Mazdas? Do they require a lot of TLC?

Reliable?

Hello Antoine,

Thanks for the "cherry" comment. As for how reliable these old skool rotary's are? Good question. I hear they are great but I only bought this baby late last summer and she has been in storage since. I have yet to drive her. She was barely used in 2004 and 2005 and even less so in 2006. My only other RX was my 1990 RX7 Turbo II which when I sold it in 1996 it was not too old yet with only 23000 KMs so other than that I have no experience with them. I only know I love them and I will never be without another rotary. I will keep this forum up to date on my ride, its pro's and con's. If I have troubles you guys will be the first to know as it is here I would turn to for help. I hope she runs well only needing regular care and servicing. She was very well maintained and in Ontario, Canada. A car is required to pass a mechanical & emmissions inspection every year (or two-not sure) to be able to stay on the road. This means she could not have been poorly cared for as she was plated every year except in 2006. I do know I need to drian the gas tank as its certainly old and almost has a varnish oder to it. dumped in fuel stabalizer and carb cleaner this past weekend and she started to run much smother. That's all I think she needs for now.

Again thanks and speak to you soon. I wish I was in Japan. If I recal you posted that there are not many old skool rotary's there. I'm surprised. I would think the reverse.

regards

Max

didn't you bought that from an old lady (i remember seeing a thread here like that)....for the same car.
