Does a good CAI noticeably increase the HP of the car ??
Does it make it louder, because the P5 is already kindda loud.
Is it difficult to replace the stock one with say an injen one ??

Thanks

I've got a K&N intake and i did notice a dif. yes it does make it louder but it sounds cool especially if you have a good exhaust. plus you most likely will get better mileage...i did. you won't really notice the power below 3000-3500 but after that is when you feel the difference. a stock p5 w/ manaul trans runs a 17.2 1/4mi and with all my s***(minus the shifter) i can run a 16.5 1/4 mi

As for install difficulty, if you can change your own oil, or say do your own brakes, you can do it yourself. If you're the kind that calls AAA to change a tire, then maybe not. FYI, contrary to their instructions, you do NOT have to pull the front bumper cover off to put an Injen CAI on the car, you can go through the LF inner fender liner with the wheel off.

if you are worried about the sound or the install come to one of our socal meets. more info on www.moccforums.com

i have just an intake and yes its louder, but its such a nice sound i wouldnt want to drive without it.

install is very straightforward. be careful with the sensors and such and you should be fine. dont break the maf whatever you do.
