Newb Question regarding Intakes

Hello all! I'm a new owner of a CX-7 and have searched the forums for info on CAI's for my CX-7 and have found a plethera of info. Could someone please correct me if I am wrong, but for CAI options are CP-E, HKS and Cobb?

I would also like to know if the Cobb unit is the MS6 intake, so if someone could answer that for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not a fan of SRI's since it is sucking in hot air, just wondering what the compatibility is between my CX-7 and MS6 engine as far as intake piping is concerned.

I'm sure I'll get the "search function is your friend" flame, but I'm asking after reading through a lot of information on the forums.

from my knowledge the CP-E is the only one with a cai for our cars, the hks is a sri and the cobb is an sri...and i believe the cobb is either the one for the ms3 or ms6
i have the cp-e and its effen awesome

Has anyone had an issue with the CP-E and snow? I mean, living in Wisconsin and getting snow accumulations of several inches, and sometimes feet, in one day, any issues? Which Cobb SRI model or part number fits the CX-7? As stated before, I'm not a fan of SRI, but nor am I a fan of hydrolock.

i dont think ayn1 is a fan of hydrolocking, i think the Cobb sri is the one that is available for the MS6...HKS makes one for the CX7 which is sweet!

keep in mind if you haven't dropped your car our CX's have a 12 in. clearance if you go with the cai

I haven't dropped it, but we can get 12" of snow in a matter of a couple of hours. I think I will look at the Cobb. Do you know if the Cobb throws a CEL and if any modding is needed to make it work with our vehicles?
