new wheels, finally. work emotion cr-kai's

well i finally got new wheels and tires put on the car, if anyone remembers this thread

i ended up sending the wheels back to the seller and got a refund through paypal, although i lost out on $220 in shipping charges =/

anyways i went ahead and bought all new wheels and tires, just some quick shots i took with my cell phone. sorry my car is dirty ;p

gotta love hatchbacks.

overall i'm really happy, the tires feel amazing after driving around on the bald stockers for 1000 or so miles. gotta figure out what to do with the wheel hubs though as work doesnt make centercaps for the cr-kai's (at least not that i've been able to find). i think next time i rotate the tires i'm gonna paint the hubs black.

What kind and size are the tires? When I changed out my wheels and used the original tires, it looks like the wheel gap got bigger.

haha yah, i was almost afraid to open the boxes when they got here for fear of finding different colored rims again

tires are 225/45/18 general exlaim uhp's on stock suspension

Where did you buy them? I've been trying to get the xt7's for months now. I've been emailing importers and none of them respond or give half assed uncaring emails.

also do you know if the hub diameter of the cr kai and the xt7 wheels are the same? i'm trying to figure that out so i can go ahead and order the hubcentric rings.

yah i had the same problem with most places i tried. i ended up going through vividracing. i had a little trouble getting ahold of someone through their online chat program, but once i called their customer service was really great and i was able to negotiate down the price as well. i'd definitely recommend them. i'd imagine the hub diameter is the same, but i can't say for sure.

on a side note what would be the best way for me to go about cleaning up the wheel hubs and painting them? they are pretty rusted right now. and any recommendations on paint?

You can use Honda S2000 center caps. They are a direct fit. But you will need to sand, primer and paint.
