I'm looking forward to getting these mounted too, but unfortunately I'll have to wait until the snow melts first. Might take a couple weeks, there's still 5 feet of snow in my front yard. (canada)

Nice. You'll enjoy the BFG tires, they handle very well. I've actually gone up steep, curvy mountains with 1-2" of snow and they are as good as any all-season tire in the snow.

I like the BFG's on my Miata but not so much on the camber challenged 2. The sidewalls are just too soft for camber challenged cars. They are great, but they roll over a lot. Easy to drive on the limit though.

Strange, the one thing I heard echoed through nearly every review on the BFGs was how stiff the sidewalls were.

Anyway, I don't have any plans on tracking my car, just looking for some extra off-ramp excitement. (drive)

Depends on who is talking about them. For me, I am used to Star specs, and Bridgestone RE-11's and the like. So to me they are very soft. Even compared to the Falken 912's which I like, they feel soft.

Here is a video from my 2 at an autocross with my girlfriend driving. At the time I had 2 degrees of camber and 35PSI in the tires and you can see how much they roll over and how much of the inside is not on the ground when cornering. This was on a 7" wide wheel as well with the 195 BFG's. After the autocross you could tell that they wore down the sidewall on that one tire because of how soft they were. I probably should have had 40psi in them, but I didn't have time ti put more air in and I have star specs on the 2 now.

On my Miata they are much better, but you can still tell that they take a huge amount of slip angle to get to maximum grip which is kinda odd feeling in my car. I think they are a good tire for a car which has a small sidewall and a wide tire, but at least in these sizes it just feels really odd to me with the high grip and soft sidewalls. Again I beat on my car a lot so that is just me. For the occasional blast they should be great.

The sidewalls on mine are HARD. Probably more so than you guys' 15's since mine are 16".

True. Also, do you have the sport 2's or the older ones which were just called the sport. A friend of mine has the older sport on his Miata and I think they were stiffer. I can check tomorrow when I visit their shop.

Wow, that is some serious flex! Cool camera angle, though I'd be worried about a pebble being flung into the lens.

Luckily with go-pro's you can replace the glass cover for the lens on the case. My first one got beat up really bad at one of the autocrosses I was at.

Do these move you to STF? I am thinking of getting the D-force in 15x6 to get into RTR HS with these tires in 195-50-15. Reading the rules and thinking that it should be OK. Any Nays?

Finally got them mounted!

These tires are great, infinitely better than the stock all seasons. Handles like it's glued to the road. They are a tad noisy, but that's getting better as they break in.
