New TSB for front rotors

We recently acquired a 2009 MZ5 GT (replaced a much loved '06), that has the shudder symptoms. Googling brought me here to the TSB info.

Knowing about pad deposition, I've improved the situation somewhat by doing the multiple hard stop method to clear up uneven deposits, but the symptoms still persist.

Unfortunately the VIN is out of the range for the TSB, as confirmed by a call to MMNA, who said it did not apply. I may still try our chances w/the local dealer, they've been nice to work w/in the past.

Otherwise I'll look into replacements. Rockauto shows a few options by Raybestos & Centric (< also at Tire Rack).

I'm curious if anyone who's gone this route has any feedback? I guess the next option is the Mazdaspeed3 upgrade? How much better is that over the OEM+ option? TIA for any info.
