Mazda,6,
Hi, my name is Isaac and im new to the site I just got a 03 Mazda 6 and Im having problems w/ it.

Posting ID:Nskylinerb-25
Model:Mazda 6
Duration Owned:3 years
Mileage: 60,000
Mods: none yet
Fuel Octane Used:was 83 now 87
Problem:Idle wont stay
Conditions Under Which Problem Occurred:daily driven hot wheather
Steps Taken to Address Problem: change spark plugs
Resolution of Problem:fixed for one day
Current Status: still having problems
Future Plans: fix it, get rims and maybe go turbo

The Idle is not staying at 700rpms like it suppost to it goes up and down and sometimes turns off.... I thaught that it might be the spark plugs so I changed them but when I was taking them out I found oil on the tip (omg) wich I didn't think it was a good sign so I replace them w/ some double platimum spark plugs from AutoZone and it fixed itself for about a day and then it started to do the same thing but there is no more oil on the spark plugs..... I really don't know much about Mazdas so I don't know what could be wrong w/ it they told me it might be the ignition wire but i don't think so they have also told me it might be the throatle body or the air flow meter I don't know. We put one of those cheep comuters on it and all it said was that it was misfireing so if any one can help me I'll apreciate it. Thanx.....

It is your plug wires or ignition. 90% of all the problems a car has with the ignition are the ground. Make sure you are grounded well.

could it be the the type spark plugs that im using because when I took it to the dealership they told me that the double platinum were not to good for the car is better to use the NGK....... Once I press the gas the car runs ok but when I'm not moving that's when the idle wont stay....

NGK are the best IMO

Plus try the fuel filter that could be if also run some injector cleaner through it

if I'm not mistaken the fuel filter is inside the gas thank and it's part of the fuel pump I might be wrong....

ahhhhh yeah sorry I don't know what that is I just took it to autozone to get the computer put on it and the told me that it was the Itake Air Tem Sensor but the last time I took it they told me that it was misfireing I don't know anymore......

thanx for all the help guys but tommorow I'm taking it to the dealership so they can fix it the thing is that all the parts for the car here are special order and can't be return so I just reather not guess on what's wrong w/ it...... I'll just let them do it.... I'll post up what was the outcome.

Well I found out what the problem was my PCV hose has a leak and that's why the idle wont stay..... now my only problem is were's the hose at ......
