02 P5
My big project for the year, 2002 P5. I guess some kid smashed it at 50mph into a telephone pole in eastern iowa. I actually found his Red Lobster badge and his travel bong in the glovebox (winner). Got a good deal on it at the yard and parts were easy to come by in town.

Still have a garage full of decent parts from the front clip, so I'll be getting a llist together here soon, hopefully sell some of it on here. Enjoy...

Wow, quite the transformation. It looks fantastic, and the lip is definitely sweet.

Dude, I <3 your garage! Great job on the repairs, and I see you installed a new front lip. Since you had the engine out, did you do any other upgrades?

Nice work, welcome. I wish I was good at that s*** but sadly, I suck.
I can't even sand things right.

Welcome and great job on the rebuild!!! Lip is looking good in silver.

wowzaa thats alot of work! WTG and welcome to the forums, guess if we need a rebuild front end how-to were going to msg you :)

DAMN! you got mad skill! Props for taking on a big job like that. All that work really makes you feal good down the road when you see how you have made something out of nothing. Do you have price list of what the project cost you?? How much was the wrecked p5 and new front clip??

I got a really good deal on the wrecked P5 $1450 (the guy that was the middle man was a friend of mine) and the front clip was $2200. I saw one that was hit in the front like mine and in the rear sell on eBay for $3800. When I was done with mine I had around 55% of the bluebook value in it. KBB put it at $10,310. Mind you I had to do a lot of digging for parts I found a transmission from Canada for $450.00 shipped that had 13k miles. I have been working on wrecked cars, trucks and vans since I was 10 yrs old. Mostly GM stuff my dad didn’t like the Fords or the foreign ones. Not as easy to work on (so he says) lol. It was a side job for both of us since then I have fixed around 30 of them. I am 24 now, still a pup I know for a mechanic. Not as many in the last few years going to school at ISU.
