New to the MP3

Hey everyone I just got a used Mp3... well its not really an mp3 anymore it has another 2.0 dohc engine. is there anypart floating around anywhere for these cars.

Heres what i need

rear badge
rear bumper valance
front yellow sway bar
new wheels

pretty much any parts that are available

I know these parts are hard to come by cause of the limtedness of this car but im trying to fix mine up... its in pretty good condition just a few minor things needed.

the only difference between the MP3 and the regular protege engine is the intake manifold. the regular protege manifold has the VTCS system for emissions, and the MP3 manifold was not provided with this. (for a minor bump in efficiency)

by "front sway bar" i assume you are refering to the strut tower bar? if your car has one, and its appearance is the same as the facotry bar, its possible it was just painted. if you dont have one at all, just get a protege5 / MP3 / MSP strut bar and paint it yellow - same thing.

do you know where I can get an mp3 badge for the back?, I also need a new rear valance

You can probly get a new badge off ebay and I believe somebody makes carbon fiber valances. Also if you having a shop fix the suspension make sure they do it right and don't end up like me. I've had nothing but problems since. Almost anything made for the 01-03 mp3 pro5 and msp are the same except for some body parts. Actualy I believe the p5 and mp3 uses the same bumpers anybody know?

I think same front yes same rear no just cause the back end is rounded im sure something had to change in the frame design

No frame is the same the p5 being different is just the body its kind of like the golf and jetta. I know a p5 bumper will fit just wondering if its the same design

protege5 front bumper is the same, with the exception of the side marker lights on the protege5. front bumpoers are interchangable.

rear bumpers are completely different.

yea i mean its a 2001 i cant expect it to be perfect it just got to my possession

Its not in horrible shape. Just needs a lot of love and care to get it back on its feet. Looks like the engine bay is starting to rust up a bit I would try and do something about that before winter so it won't get any worse. The blue does look good but I like the yellow more... turns way more heads

I've got the stock yellow strut tower bar on my MP3 that I was planning on selling because I'm going to swap mine over to the silver MSP bar. Are you interested? I'll take a proper pic and get a shipping quote if so, let me know.

I know they're the same bar but I have a spare from my friends totaled msp. I'd be removing it for paint anyway, so I'll sell you the yellow one New MP3. I'll work on swapping them, getting pics and shipping figured out by the end of the week.
