Hey guys! I'm kinda new to the club. Though I have several mods to my 2002 Mazda P5.

Most of you may not be aware, but the manual P5 does have a short shifter in it already. Remove the center console, and if it has a wierd looking adapter on the top part, heat that part up with a torch, & pull it off with pliers. Then carve off the rubber which was in, between. Take the shift boot off, turn it inside out & sew it skinnier. Make the top hole about the thickness of your index finger. Then but yourself a nice aftermarket shifter, install it & enjoy!

If you have any questions about this or any of my mods,.. either e-mail me,... or send me a chat on my yahoo.

p.s.s this is not a current pic of my car,.. there are some more vinyls now.

Hope to hear from you soon.
p.s. I'm currently down at Fort Hood Texas until May. Which is near Killeen.

Welcome. The guys (and ladies) here can answer any question you'll ever have about your car, so don't be shy about asking (but do remember to "search" first).

Hey, welcome to the forum. You'll find this place useful, just remember to search for the answers to your questions.:)

My MOS

whats your MOS

I'm a 63B,.. Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. Followed in my dads footsteps, so to say... dad was an automotive mechanic too,.. I like to personally fabricate things. One project I'm considering is making my own header WITH a High Flow Cat on it still,.. chromed too.
that hard part are the dynamics of this engineering feat.

I custom built my mirror LED's. I have a few pics of them on my CarDomain page.

Lemme know if you need the formula on how to set up the LED's correctly.

:D

I ALSO love to fabricate & meet people with good ideas. Currently, as I said,.. I'm in Texas, near Killeen. Feel free to add me to your yahoo list, and send any online or offline messages to me.

I also have a CD with the complete P5 service manual on it, as well as some cool Rally videos.

1st,.. how do I get on IRC? and where do I get it? I've kinda seen/heard about it.

2nd unfortunately, at the present time, my intsernet is limited to 56k dial-up. I cannot get anything else here in these temporary quarters. Now, back at home I have Cable Modem.. lol.... GOD I miss that.

temp quarters? whats that about.

u can go to www.mirc.com to get irc, basically its a very simplistic program, stands for internet relay chat which is probably the oldest form of talkin on the net b4 chat rooms and s***. talkin warez wise its the oldest and most reliabe way..... lots to learn but yea when u goign to be off the 56k?

temp quarters means he just got there and they havent given him a permanant room yet.
