New to the Forum

Hey all,

New to the forum here. Bought my 09 speed3 almost 2 years ago.

Have done a CP-E SRI and a JBarone Shift plate. Thats it. Nothing crazy, but just enough I suppose.

At any rate, I did do some searching, but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know the differences between the L and M tagged motors? I am assuming one is for CA, but not 100% sure.

sorry, can't help you on the engine thing, if it's not the cali emission designation, it could have to do with 2008.5 changes. i can't find any mention of them changing anything in the engine, but i thought i heard they fixed a turbo issue of previous models. probably totally wrong though. anyrate, Welcome to the Forum ehuff!

Are you talking about the letters that are in the VIN?
