Hey everyone,
It's great that there's a forum for just about everything on the web, and it's also cool that most car dudes will help out.

I've got a 2002 that's mostly stock with an Auto trans. I bought it without driving it cause I'm kind of a wagon freak. Turned out to be great. It handles great and runs strong. I was very happy with the purchase.

From there, it gets complicated. First off, my heart is with old cars and hot rods. I have a 63 Falcon wagon project I'm doing and a 1927 roadster that's a fair weather cruiser. You guys will appreciate that my roadster's got a strong running NA 4 banger from a Mustang (ah crap, it's a Pinto motor!!) instead of the big V8's you normally find. Here's my rides: http://www.MyRideisMe.com/Garage/pikesan That's my website, so I don't take a look if you want. It's mostly hot rods and older cars now, but will have more rides as I find people that want to write about those cars. (Not trying to self promote here, so admins, please delete if you don't approved.(hippy))

The second problem is that I'm a powertrain performance engineer for Nissan. I have the MP5 to commute to work. It's 70 miles a day, so the 30+ mpg I'm getting is great!! But I often feel badly that I drive a Mazda. I dig the car, dig most wagons, and really, Nissan doesn't make any...

But, I want to make the car cooler! Look better, perform better... so on and so on, like most of you!

I'm at a crossroads... Keep my Mazda and start modding: new wheels (as soon as I need tires), lowering kit, header or maybe, turbo!!

What do you guys think? Or am I asking the wrong crowd? Thinking of looking for a trade for a 240SX.

Thanks again for a great site. I've already found the "flickering speed 2" with AC on post. Got that!! I'll be fixing it soon.

Personally just use the p5 as a daily drive and enjoy your other projects... if i were you i would lower the p5 ( best for looks and handling IMO) get rims, tint, and maybe a lip if you want... thats about it if i was in your situtation. Putting money into a N/A p5 is a watse of money so leave that stock and enjoy the awesome suspensioness that is mazda...also dont turbo the p5...just not worth it imo..but others may differ..

chears, and welcome

Pretty sure that's what I'm gonna do... just keep driving and enjoying my P5, then spend money when it makes sense to do some slight customization. When I need tires, I'll start looking for wheels and tires...

Two totally different cars 240 vs P5 obviously RWD vs FWD. That 240 motor is supposed to have shitloads of potential, the P5's a decent amount of potential. I think the P5 is better looking and they can handle like a MF specially with the right mods.I wish I could throw that sr20 or whatever it is in my P5, better yet a K20.
